Shrimp Floridian
This easy shrimp dish takes just a little work to produce great results and lasting friends! The tomatoes can be placed under the broiler after baking just long enough to brown the cheese.
1 pound medium shrimp (21 to 25 count), shelled and deveined
About 6 strips of bacon, cut into 3 pieces each (1 slice bacon per 3 shrimp)
Hungarian paprika
Softened butter
Toothpicks to secure bacon
Whole broiled tomatoes
| 1. |
Wrap each shrimp in bacon and fasten with a toothpick. Sprinkle lightly with paprika and dot with a little butter. |
| 2. |
Broil in pan with a small amount of water to prevent sticking. Turn once when bacon begins to crisp.
| 3. |
When cooked on both sides, about 5 minutes, remove toothpicks and serve with whole broiled tomatoes (See Recipe Wakulla Whole Broiled Tomatoes). |
